IO supports multiple methods for scanning attendee QR codes to track check-ins efficiently at your event entry points.
Web-based scanning
Each check-in list has a secure URL that opens a check-in interface in any web browser. This is the recommended method for most events:
- Navigate to Check-in in your admin dashboard
- Select a check-in list
- Click the QR code on the list page to open the check-in URL, or scan it directly with a mobile device
- Select a scanner and authenticate your device
- Click Start scanning to open the camera and begin scanning QR codes
Share the check-in URL with your team so multiple people can check in attendees simultaneously from different devices.
Scanning workflow
- Attendee presents QR code (on phone or printed)
- Scanner reads the code
- System confirms ticket validity
- Check-in is recorded with timestamp
- Visual feedback confirms success
